3 Lakes Valley
Turn 9 Detection Report
Turn 9 Results - Solaris VII - 3 Lakes Valley
Graham Paddock makes out his will, being of unconscious mind & failing body: _choose a nice teal coffin with brass hinges, red satin cushions and a specially made plaque with a message player built into the lid on permanent cycle play that says "Do not go into partial cover you IDIOT"._ This occurs right before the headshot that ends a promising career on the Solaris circuit. His partner, William Strange, manages to strike his killer with the full firepower of his Warhammer-D, but only manages to strip the armour of the left arm. Unfortunately due to the heat problems caused by this, he is unable to back into the woods for cover. Things start to get personal, with both Felicity & William insulting each other (see physical attacks & commlinks).
Karl Grimm strikes home against Little Joe's leg with deadly accuracy, disabling an actuator, a jump jet & causing the crippled 'mech to fall.
Joe & Brian both attempt to shoot the tempting head of Jesse#8, but none of the 'mechs are able to draw LOS with any weapons.
Nothing unexpected happened during the turn, leaving Wayne Pollerd as the new leader by 1 point from Joe Duke.
Turn 10 orders will be due July 7th 1998. I will also send a second post with the special notes for the final turn, please read it carefully, as it will have a major impact on the final standings.
