Meetings and events of "The In Ground Fuchsia Group"

Sometimes meeting have to be changed. Members are informed. If you are planning to come as a visitor or join at a meeting, please double check details by phone or email.

So far meetings have been held on the second weekend of the month mostly in Spring and Autumn as "hands on" sessions and garden visits are not possible in the very hot or cold weather. Future meetings may vary so please contact me for the details of the next meeting.  I will send out information to those of you on email or those who have provided postage stamps.

October: Sunday 12th at 11am - 4 Allen St, Lawson

Demo and talk on re-potting or planting out fuchsias. Bring along a fuchsia to be re-potted. Discussion on fertilizing fuchsias for good plant shape and flower.

Come along to help finalise arrangements for the Open Garden in November. Meeting will include a video of a huge Fuchsia festival in Northern England at lunchtime. Bring your lunch; hot and cold drinks will be provided.

Talk, demo or discussion to be announced, see Yvonne Wilson's lovely garden and have a pre-Christmas lunch (bring a plate to share) in garden or inside it weather isn't favourable.

Visit Rose Hall's lovely garden. Discussion or activity to be announced.

March, 2009: Sunday 8th, 1pm - 11 Chilton Parade, Warrawee, ph 02 9489 0318

Group member Chris Shale is having her garden open with the Open Garden Scheme, on March 21st and 22nd, 2009. She has invited our group to have a meeting at her house 2 weeks prior to the open garden to see her methods. This visit will be of interest to everyone, but how Chris adapts to the Sydney climate will particularly interest Sydney members. Chris will share her propagation and growing methods. Chris has a really beautiful garden with lots of fuchsias. Her Open Garden in March 2008 was a huge success.
