About Us
Aproquemes - Australia Was established in 2006 in response to an urgent
need of medical aid for children who have suffered critical burns in El Salvador.
Aproquemes-Australia will work in partnership with the
Chidren's Hospital of El Salvador, Hospital Benjamin Bloom.
Aproquemes-Australia will assist by holding an annual fund raising activity
to purchase special equipment, pressure dressings and medicines that will assist
families that otherwise cannot afford the cost of post hospital treatment of their children.
Aproquemes - Australia is a non-profit, non-government organisation, consisting
of health professionals and parents interested in
effecting change towards the future of children who have been traumatised
by burns.
Vision
We have adopted Aproquemes-El Salvador's vision, that is to ensure all children
discharged from
the unit become completely rehabilitated and fully re-integrated in
society with minimal psychological and physical impact.
