A Course for Everyone
Continuing education courses designed to introduce Astronomy without mathematics. 3D visualisation brings Astronomy alive.
"Exploring the Heavens" is an introduction to the night sky and telescopes.
"Astronomical Concepts" delves into the physical concepts used by astronomers to explain the universe.
"Understanding Relativity" introduces Einstein's great theory of space and time, mass and energy.
"High School Relativity" is an evening for HSC students to explore the real meaning in the equations of relativity.
Sydney Observatory
Sydney Observatory is the venue for all the courses.
The observatory is a popular museum with nightly public tours.
Each of my courses is complimented with viewings through the observatory telescopes.
The observatory is equipped with a historic 1874 refractor and a modern 40cm Meade 2000 telescope.
