IVORY'S ROCK

PEAK CROSSING, NEAR IPSWICH

There is a place of tranquility and perfection.

There is a fabulous showcase of operatic talent.

There is the serenity of the natural landscape.

There are musical tones to fill the soul.

Opera at the Rock allows you to share your favourite arias with the wallabies, kookaburras, and the wonders of nature.

Combine the natural Australian bush sounds with the passion of the arias and the sensations will play with your eardrums and senses. The opera stars will only be challenged by the magnificant night skies seen from this 1200 hectares of natural parkland.

Just an hour's trip southwest from Brisbane and nestled at the foot of the Peak Mountains, Ivory's Rock is a triumph of opposites.

There will be gourmet delights served on linen and lawn with choice of dining pleasure to suit your individualiyt.

Choose from dining in the Pavilion Parkland area or the VIP Function Centre. Diners at the Pavilion will be under the central dome or in one of the circling marquees surrounded by hectares of parkland.

Dine with the opera stars and dignitaries in the VIP Function Centre with its wide verandahs, which provide indoor or garden dining. Silky oak French doors open from the dining room onto cool provate garden courtyards or diners can relax by the open fireplace. For those wanting an elegant day time experience, the luncheon followed by the concert in the amphitheatre are a perfect combination finishing just after sunset.

Going to the concert first then following dinner offers the excitement of dining and dancing in the moonlight, while the band entertains. A true party in the parklands.

For those with the stamina to absorb all the delights, the marathon package of lunch, concert and dinner will gratify any insatiable appetite for enjoyment.
