Opera at the Rock allows you to share
your favourite arias with the wallabies, kookaburras, and
the wonders of nature.
Combine the natural Australian bush sounds with the passion
of the arias and the sensations will play with your eardrums
and senses. The opera stars will only be challenged by the
magnificant night skies seen from this 1200 hectares of
natural parkland.
Just an hour's trip southwest from Brisbane and nestled
at the foot of the Peak Mountains, Ivory's Rock is a triumph
of opposites.
There will be gourmet delights served on linen and lawn
with choice of dining pleasure to suit your individualiyt.
Choose from dining in the Pavilion Parkland area or the
VIP Function Centre. Diners at the Pavilion will be under
the central dome or in one of the circling marquees surrounded
by hectares of parkland.
Dine with the opera stars and dignitaries in the VIP Function
Centre with its wide verandahs, which provide indoor or
garden dining. Silky oak French doors open from the dining
room onto cool provate garden courtyards or diners can relax
by the open fireplace. For those wanting an elegant day
time experience, the luncheon followed by the concert in
the amphitheatre are a perfect combination finishing just
after sunset.
Going to the concert first then following dinner offers
the excitement of dining and dancing in the moonlight, while
the band entertains. A true party in the parklands.
For those with the stamina to absorb all the delights,
the marathon package of lunch, concert and dinner will gratify
any insatiable appetite for enjoyment.

Transportation
Patrons are encouraged to take
advantage of the buses, which will be travelling from Brisbane,
Ipswich, Toowoomba, Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast. Why risk getting
lost or having to wait at the gate for a minibus? Enjoy that
extra glass of wine without the worry of driving. Return trips
are from only $10 and you can relax and enjoy the scenery,
while someone else drives.
Limited parking is available outside the perimeters of the
venue for those who wish to bring their own vehicles. Minibuses
will be available to take you inside the parklands to the
dining areas or amphitheatre. Please exercise patience as
the circular trip takes time.
