Janet was
born sometime after 1902, probably around 1904 judging by her apparent age
in a photo (left) taken in 1910. She most likely would have been born in
Hamilton, Scotland.
The
daughter and only child of William Linton and Jeanie (Jane) Jack, she was
step sister to William Alexander Hannah, Agnes Baird Hannah and Catherine
Hannah. She was apparently known to her family as "Jessie".
Her mother
Jeanie Jack died in 1910 when the picture at left was probably taken. Janet
married a person by the surname of McGuire sometime between 1927 and 1940,
when she witnessed her fathers death registration.
It is not known if
there were children to the marriage.
No other
information is available to date. The only reference available publicly is
her fathers death registration in 1940. At that time she gave her
address as 10 Monteith Place, Glasgow.
