Canisius Centre for Ignatian Spirituality

The Thirty-day Retreat

Ignatius and his followers knew that anyone seeking God was not meant
to wait for visions, but had only to seek God in an intelligent and humble
way and then with God's grace could "find God in all things".

Ignatius developed a programme of prayer and reflection on life, based
on the life of Christ, in which the person doing The Exercises looks at how
best to serve God in his or her own life.   The Exercises introduce the
retreatant to various ways of praying using scripture in imaginitive contemplation
and meditating upon one's own life.

The date for this retreat will be

The Full Spiritual Exercises is an individually guided live-in retreat made over
30 days.   In an atmosphere of prayerful silence, you will have time for meditation,
reflection and liturgy based on the experience of St Ignatius Loyola.
There will be 3 "rest or repose" days built into the retreat.   These occur between
each of the "Four Weeks" of the Spiritual Exercises.
