Here is a collection of my drawings. These are in rough chronological order, stemming back from about 10 years
ago, to my latest drawings. I usually have a reason for each drawing, and the quips will give you a little insight into
what I was thinking at the time of creation. Enjoy!

This picture was drawn for year 10 art class, when I was 16 years old(1990).
It looks the worse for wear and has become slightly smudged over time, but time generally has
the effect adding lines and making things blurred! The original idea was to draw three bottles
and have people drawn in them. First I modified the idea so that the people were wrapped
around the bottles. Secondly I decided people are boring, so I will put pictures of animals
on the other two bottles(giving one a bird theme and the other the warm and fuzzy theme.
Received a 10/10 for the drawing, for that time in my life, I was extremely happy.
Quote: An excellent peice of work, Jason. This still resides on the back of the picture. |
| This painting was my year 11 art project from what I recall. I originally
was going to do a 3D animation using Imagine on the Amiga, but hard disk failure destroyed
that. So I basically rushed out this painting as the final project. |

This was based on a photo of one of the sculptures from Melbourne's
G.P.O. I like the sculpturers. Not much else to say on this one. |
| A colour pencil drawing based another of
my photos. The original picture had a big stick in the middle of it that detracted away
from the animal... so I thought may as well use this as a basis for drawing! |
 |
 |
This is another image that is based on a photo that was not brilliant. The eyes
reflected the camera flash. So I decided, I may as well make it into a drawing. So that
is what made this. |
| This is the drawing that started it all. Basically it was made for a t-shirt,
the front would have a picture of JAWolf looking all cute... and on the back it would have
him eating a chicken.... with "So do you still think I'm cute?" written under it. The t-shirt
didn't work out properly... and I did what I really wanted to with the image in the end: make it
into a costume. |

I met a person whom liked dragons, she gave me inspiration for
this picture. This was going to be a 'gift'. Time told that the person was undeserving,
shallow, nieve and cruel. Her 'cruel'(read annoying) nature was brought forth when the
truth was told, or whenever you informed her how something could be improved. Needless
to say I have not seen her for a long time, people fade off into the distance. The
reflection in the eye of the dragon is the viewer. |
| This was just a collage of wolf pictures
plain and simple. I think it was done with a 4B pencil, was done over a couple of hours I think. |

 |
This drawing was done for a valentines card,
for my girlfriend at the time. I thought it would be nicer to spend time drawing a picture to use
instead of just going down and getting a card. This one had written inside: I'm lion here, waiting
for you. Cheezy... I know but I thought it was quite cute. |
| Imagine, a half fox/half human(or fox morph to others), laying in a bed surrounded by plush toys in strange poses. He reaches out for his next toy, you are it. The intent stare of the fox was based on that of a real fox(out of Nature Australia Magazine, if you see it you will see some similarities). The pose was scetched up on a peice of paper just using simple geometric shapes, then had simple details filled in. There was a poem on the back of this it went:
I can't cry,
Are the lack of tears a lie?
The loss that is gained
A void contained
Within this skin, the sorrow for myself
Ive lost before I truely start,
How can it be that way
Where is that elusive thing called a heart?
Bound, tied to a figment
What can be damaged that was never there to start?
All I know is you hold it,
And you can piece it together.

Before you ask... no the whole picture itself isn't painted... just the
facepaint. Something to do, can constitute many a strange thing to me. Yes, a face painting
as a tiger constitutes something I'd do when I get bored. The painting was done in a mirror
all by my own hand. That was one of the earlier times I have done that, since then I have
improved, latter times I made the colours blend in a way that simulates fur direction.
Practice makes perfect, or as close as an approxmation that you can acheive. Probably
the comment 'Make love like a tiger' comes to mind, my answer, 'maybe!'*had to put that
one in*. If anyone needs any animal face painting done, I'm more than willing!

| This drawing had a dodgy pun to it, I don't know what it was. Cute character... |
 |
 |
This picutre was drawn for a girl in New Zealand, cute thing she is. The original
was made supposed to have the wolf comforting her, and the cheetah girl looking sad. As it
turned out, the wolf looks like he is enjoying the situation as is the kitten. *pricks up ears* |
| This was done over a few nights, was done as a try out to see what I could do
with the pastels that just sat in my draw. This was it ( for a first time ). |
 |
 |
This collage was to be sent ( and will be sent sooner or later ), to a lady in
Canada. She is a person that I speak to rarely, but love the times I do talk to her. She is a caring
and decent person ( very ). |
| This drawing was done on the train on the way to work and back over a few nights.
It isn't spectacular, but not bad. |
 |
 |
This was another drawing started on the train, I imagined a few people in stances that
made up silhouttes that formed animals. I ended up having a cheetah and a rabbit. No reason for
the selection bar that the images seemed to point in that direction. |
| This drawing, was embarrasingly, to ask someone out. A failed attempt, but
hey, as I say, you got to try, even though I've not I don't follow my own advice half the time.
The final version had coloured eyes... as the only detailed parts. |

This drawing was a concept for a tattoo. What else to say about this, I don't
know. The image is a simplification of an image from a book. |
