"Horses' Birthday Party."
Horses' Birthday was celebrated by the children of the Royal Far West Hospital at Many on the 1st August 1989, at Manly Lagoon.  A splendid BBQ was made available to all who attended with donations of food and other goodies being donated by Manly business houses.

One of my dearest wishes was to return to the Hospital as an adult and give some pleasure to the children who were patients there as I had been.

The Birthday cake was specially made by Holsworthy Army Camp Cooks in the shape of a horse and a Carot cake for the ponies, an enjoyable day was had by all.

The children were given jogger rides and also a hay wagon ride was organised by Ces Kroenhert of Windsor Way Stud.
