Hunter Valley African Violet Society

Welcome

The Hunter Valley African Violet Society promotes growing beautiful African Violets and other members of the Gesneriaceae family. We meet at Adamstown - most of our members live in Newcastle, Lake Macquarie and the Hunter Valley.

Our activities include:

Meetings - the fourth Sunday of the month (except December) details. Visitors are very welcome.

Annual Show - the first weekend in May, more information

Gesneriad Study Group meetings - the second Sunday of the month, more

Membership is $10 per person or $15 per couple a year.

Members of the Hunter Valley African Violet Society are able to:

Participate in all club activities-meetings, shows, open days, sales days, coach trips etc.
Learn more about growing beautiful African Violets and other Gesneriads at our monthly meetings
Receive six HVAVS Newsletters a year
Borrow books, magazines etc from our specialist library
Purchase supplies eg pots, wicks, potting mix, reservoirs
Buy or sell plants, leaves etc at meetings and promotions
Get individual help with their plants from 1pm to 2pm at meetings
