I give you Saint Eve

(The actual two page farewell speech placed in the coffin of the Saint before it was closed on 17 November 2008 between 2-2.30 pm Australian Sydney time, and then blessed by a Catholic Priest in the presence of two Catholic Sisters (i.e. a proper "sanctification process" as Catholic Apostolic Life in the Spirit groups (refer psychic page for explanation and definition) view this).  The nature of Saints is to allow a believer to strain insights into the mystery of God. After the pamphlet some explanations.)

During the Nazi occupied Russia, my mother and her mother hid under their bed a young Jewish woman each time the Gestapo came around to look for Jews. An act of faith and immense courage. That will probably always be my most deepest memory of my mother. In my heart of hearts, I know this type of act is something that Jesus would smile upon.

In the past 10 or perhaps more years, my mother had a most debilitating mental condition called Alzheimer’s. She was also caught, as I believe many Alzheimer's victims are, in a sad and tragic situation. The stress of living with a person who is becoming more and more incontinent and at times irrational, at times repeats the same question every few minutes, is often beyond anyone to manage alone.  In my brother's case, so I believe as an expert in a medical field of a particular kind, his psyche collapsed and hid inside his legal frontal areas of the brain, resulting in protective measures against his own sanity using the legal system and whatever techniques were available. All he was after was removing from his life any person or situation who added to that stress, and I certainly would have because after all I too had spent ever so much time with my mother at times and in me there was much stress when I could see my mother loosing more and more touch with reality, or being found alone in a puddle because she had fallen and could not stand up and lay there for most of the day. Such pain is deep and a continual sense of stress of what is the best to do by her and what even worse can happen to her if she is left alone for too long.

You know, not all Catholics who have a passion or dedication wear priestly or sisterly garments; not all Catholic Cardinals always wear robes of red or go around with labels saying they are a Catholic Cardinal by a silent vow. These garments, to those who are of the faith but not so inclined to such lovely deeds as caring for the aged and frail on a daily basis, are like a King's garments in relative sense while my mother's garments in that sense were more like a paupers and my garment invisible and shrouded in mystery or confusion or darkness.

When I worked as a volunteer crisis counsellor for Saint Vincent de Paul, I have learnt much about stress such as poverty and social injustice can cause, and when living with people with a serious affliction, and what personal defensive measures a psyche might take.

Those who are of the faith, also at times experience what I have named Life in the Spirit. This too is documented on one of my other web sites, a site intended for theologians of whatever religion.

As I mourned the passing of my mother, as I could sense her soul sliding into a transition of life, into the spirit my soul did glide, and then, because there was a special bond of faith and trust and hope between myself and my mother, a soul to soul connection, and as my soul reached deep to what I personally refer to as beyond the grave, from the deep I could hear my natural mother's flow of faith like a flow of a Catholic Saint:

That made me sit up and wonder. What significance is that remarkable coincidence of the hour of her passing? A message from the spirit? Be it a coincidence or not, it can be seen as special - and maybe a message that the last ten years of her life with Alzheimer's were perhaps the most productive because such paved a way for a new medical science explained on my professional medical web site.

And maybe it is time families of Alzheimer's and other dementia types also found peace the Catholic way by relating to a Catholic Saint. So, on my personal interest theological web site, I proposed my mother be considered such at some long and distant point in time. For many a Catholic, in the hour of their despair, praying to a Saint can bring such a stress release.

So, in the presence of all you witnesses, I give you Saint Eve. Saint Eve is for all those who, like my brother, had resulted to measures which in the light of day may even be seen to violate a number of serious laws of the country. But what these are, only I know, and my mother had entrusted me with her last Will and Testament and knowing my mother - she would trust me with life itself. For this reason, as I explain on the web site, each time a person or carer of dementia or similar does something which they know is wrong but they can not help themselves, be you Catholic or Muslim or skeptic or whatnot, I say to you this “have faith that the Saint of your kind has endured all that could possibly happen, and has found a solution born from her natural womb.”


Explanations

Top Level Overview of the Alzheimer's Scam (applies in Australia but there may be variations of this scam may be taking place in every country)

1. You plan ahead and when a relative who is the executor of a Last Will and Testament comes to see a parent with dementia, you pretend to fall, then call police claiming you were assaulted.
2. Prior to calling the police, you invent lies of some kind in the hope they will charge the person with assault. Failing this you go to a legal firm and pay $10,000 to get yourself a court order called an "interim AVO" that names the Alzheimer's victim as protected (why? This is a scam, there is no "why", no reason is given; AVOs as most lawyers in Australia will tell you are genuine only when police apply for these, else they form the basis of scams and intimidation and can be purchased through legal firms. This is no news to politicians, the news media keeps pointing this out, the law society keeps pointing this out but nothing has been done about these draconian laws).
2b. Optionally, you can remove pictures from the wall of the family members, other siblings, especially grandchildren.
3. You get the demented person to sign all kinds of papers for you including power of attorney.
4. At the actual hearing to confirm this AVO, you lie through your teeth claming you had been sent threatening letters by that relative and you are terrified for your life. No evidence of any kind is presented of courts cause there is no evidence. Little chance of being caught for perjury cause the legal firm advising you invents lies for you that can not be proven one way or the other, and there is a stream of these that just spew out of your mouth during the hearing. (lie detectors are not used in Anglo-Saxon Australian courts; neither can a person be made to go a psychiatric assessment even though common sense and medical sense tells you that anyone who wants to isolate a demented person from other members of the family is not normal themselves)
5. You arrange for a hospital specialist doctor to state in writing that in his opinion this person has "testament capacity and wants to leave everything to you." Not hard to do with simple manipulation and lots of lies or half truths. In the example we have written in 2004 by a Blacktown Hospital specialist, one woman seriously incontinent is actually said in that report "is not incontinent". The son who is the victim of this scam is said in this report "not to see her much" even though Centrelink (social welfare) records will show this son was her full time carer in 2003 and 2004!
6. Once you have this, you drag you parents to a solicitor to witness the parent signing a new Last Will and Testament. This is an Alzheimer's patient, she says to please, she appears to understand, and in fact she does not recall from one minute to the next what she had done. She does not know how many children or grandchildren she has unless they are with her.
7. In that Last Will and Testament obtained by deception, you specify a clause that you alone are responsible for all aspects of the funeral. This means you are given the death certificate.
8. Once you have this, you now engage a specialist legal firm to rush this through a process called probate before anyone else in the family knows what took place.
9. The scam is simple and effective because the costs of senior courts in Anglo-Saxon Australia are between $50,000 and $500,000 and few people can afford these costs so the other family members tend to choose to do nothing.
10. Now, you also hope that the family member against whom this AVO is written, will get himself or herself arrested and charged with violating the AVO. Clearly, no natural human being will not see their parent if they are told she or he might be dying, and in so doing the person will violate the AVO, and police - those idiot mindless thugs with guns without whom legal scam would not be effective - will be on the doorstep arresting the person. The object here is intimidation so extreme that the person will not dare dispute the Last Will and Testament that has been obtained by fraud and deception or in suspicious or unusual or bizarre circumstances. To achieve this last "arrest", when the elderly is placed in a nursing home you shove the AVO in front of the director and explain that this person so severely beat up the elderly person that she is now protected from that person, so could the nursing home telephone this number if they see this person coming to see the parent (easy as pie! Those into scams will lie through their teeth to anyone and will invent the most insidious and horrifying scenarios which appear possible because of the court order in their hand and the new Last Will and Testament obtained by deception).
