![]() Mandy Keating was born in Geelong, Victoria. She began her career in contemporary music performing with local band 'Paddiwack', playing a blend of modern and traditional Irish and Scottish music. She brought to the band her guitar skills and a vibrant female voice, helping create the essence of the sound that was 'Paddiwack'. As a member of the band Mandy made regular appearances at the Port Fairy, Maldon and National Celfest (Geelong) festivals as well as working many pubs in Geelong, Ballarat and Melbourne. Mandy is a gifted songwriter and musician, playing guitar, bagpipes and a range of percussion instruments. Mandy writes and arranges all her own songs in a style that is distinctively her own, drawing on influences that include Blues, contemporary acoustic, Celtic, and Grunge. Her songs are well-crafted and express a range of emotions, giving us an insight into her own character. She shares her feelings with us, expressing herself with a captivating voice that is full of warmth and lyricism. Mandy has recently completed her debut CD. The album titled "Hide Your Eyes" - contains a wide range of material that reflects her song-writing and arranging abilities. |
