The Newcastle Backgammon Club commences it's 2012 season on the 6th of January, the first of two social nights before the Club Championship starts.
The club is based upon friendly competition with the main emphasis on a Club Championship rather than money play.
The Newcastle Open Backgammon Tournament is held yearly. Last year's tournament was run as round robin qualifiers into an 8 person KO final. Results can be found through this link.

Current Venue
Newcastle Backgammon Club meets every fortnight at the Alder Park Bowling Club, Bridges Rd, New Lambton from 6:45pm for 7:15 pm start. (APBC ph. 4952-5503)
The only times the fortnightly schedule is changed is to avoid public holidays etc.
