TFL - For the Alliance

For The Alliance! (Part I)

Set in the Star Wars Universe, it is an unexpected encounter between an Imperial Interdictor Squadron & a Rebel Alliance attack fleet enroute to 'liberate' a supply convoy.

Each side has the following forces available:

Imperial Star Destroyer Interdictor Star Destroyer 3 Imperial Dreadnoughts 2 Loranar Strike Cruisers 3 Carrack Light Cruisers 2 Star Galleons	2 MC80 Star Cruisers 2 Rebel Assault Frigates Rebel Bulk Fighter Carrier 3 Nebulon-B escort Cruisers 4 Corellian Corvettes 2 additional B-Wing squadrons

Deployment:

The Imperial forces secretly note down from which direction all their forces will deploy (North, South, East or West) & the Rebel forces are then deployed 30 MU from the south edge of the table facing North (course 12), all within 8 MU of the Rebel Bulk Fighter Carrier.

The Imperial forces are then deployed as follows:
The South force is 24-30 MU behind the Rebels to chase them down (the Interdictor is usually deployed here).
The North force is 40-50 MU directly ahead of the Rebels (usually the ISD).
The East and West forces are deployed at 30-36 MU directly abeam (bearing 3 & 9).

All rebel ships then roll for a 4+ FTL threshold check due to the Interdictor's Gravity Well Generators. The rebel forces must now either escape, or crush the Imperial fleet.

Your most important asset is the Interdictor, as it has the ability to prevent the rebel forces from escaping. At least some of the rebel forces will suffer hyperdrive damage as they are forced out, so it becomes important to prevent them escaping.
Your mission is the annihilation of rebel forces.

To: Admiral & all ranking officers

You are to proceed to the Dargon shipyards & 'acquire' the Imperial convoy currently being assembled. Should you encounter heavy resistance, you are to employ hit & run tactics before disengaging. Your primary mission is the acquisition of any transports, secondary is inflict significant casualties upon Imperial forces.
