Dear
all,
The magnitude 9.0 earthquake and
tsunami hit the Northern part of Japan 11th March. At this stage more
than 7,700 people deaths were confirmed and more than 11,700 are still
missing (20
Mar). 360,000 people have been living in their shelters without enough
support since the disaster in Miyagi prefecture. Many communities were
completely damaged including Miyagi and Iwate Prefectures. It is
freezing condition because of snow and rescue people have been facing
difficulties to find survivors in the condition. In addition, the
biggest threat is the nuclear explosion. Some people have already been
exposed by the nuclear radiation. It can be the worst scenario in the
world.
It is very painful and hopeless,
but I heard that those people are helping each other. According to CNN,
180 plant workers keep working despite the fact that doing so could
result in serious illness or even death at the nuclear plant in
Fukushima. Also Japanese and international rescue teams keep working
together in the devastating condition.
Please pray for those people if
you have some time.
Please make a donation to those
victims if you have some extra.
This is one of the organisations
which we can donate to them.
<Australian Red Cross>
Thank you for your kindness.
Tadashi & Hiroko
